IMCA Reglement

REGULATIONS INTERNATIONAL MIX & BREED CHAMPIONSHIP AGILITY ( IMCA )

GENERAL

  • In all documents and match information (prizes) the official name to be used shall be: International Mix & Breed Championship  Agility, abbreviated IMCA
  • The IMCA will be organised together the ParAgility World Cup, abbreviated PAWC.
  • The IMCA &  PAWC are organised annually.
  • It is allowed to participate for all countries (recognized International  Nations), only one team from each country.
  • It is allowed to participate for all dogs, breed - with or without pedigree - and mixbreed,
  • At last 8 months prior the Event will start the organising country will invite other countries to participate.
  • At last 6 months prior the Event starts,the organising country gives information on an official website of the event about:

* registration fee - individual & team competiton
* date start and closing registration
* name of judges
* maximum numbers of all over registrations for the event
* programm of the event
* request to provide suitable and identical attire for their teams
* information about hotels/ accomondations in the neighbourhood

  • Champions of IMCA of the year before have dispensation of registration fee.

ORGANISATION

  • Any country who wants to organize the IMCA & PAWC must apply two years in advance to the International Organization Team IMCA & PAWC. They also have to give information about :

    * place where the event is planne
    * description of the facilities

  • The date of the Event has  to be planned between the third weekend of August and last weekend of October.  The Organization Team IMCA & PAWC must approve any deviation from this period.
    The Event will start on Thursday and finished on Sunday
  • The date of the event must not coincide with the date of FCI World Championship.
  • The organising country has to provide for a sound equipment clear audible
  • The organising country will give a heartly  welcome to all teams and officials on the openingsceremony
  • The organising country is responsible only to the International Organisation Team IMCA & PAWC for the practical organisation
  • The organising country must take the appropriate measures to make sure the event runs smoothly
  • The organising country has to make her best for  contact the media ( press, t.v. etc.) to ensure the necessary publicity in order to attract a large number of spectators and thereby promote Agility
  • Minimum 2 , recommended 3, qualified judges have to be invited, at least one ( when it’s possible two)  from outside the country who’s organising.
  • The expenses of the judges will be by agreement between the organising country and the judges
  • Registration-fee will be fixed by the organising country, but consultation of the International Organisation Team IMCA & PAWC
  • The organising country must abide by the Regulations IMCA and Regulations PAWC and implement them correctly, with responsibility and respect.
  • Entry-fee just like the year before, by changing in consultation with the International Organisation Team first.

MATCH

  • Parts ( runs) will be judged according the FCI and IMCA/PAWC regulations
  • Measurement courses: minimum 25 x 40  , 25 x 35 or 20 x 40  meters
  • Registration only possible by teamleader from each country.
  • The team leader will be responsible for all members of her/his team
  • The winners of the Total Results Team will gain the title ”Champion International Mix & Breed Championship Agility 200…”, in each categories small, medium or large
  • In case of a tie a run-off is held over a third course
  • Before start runs and after determining the SCT a “ white dog “ may have a run, the dog does not take part in the competiton IMCA & PAWC
    This can be occur in each category, announced before the first competiton-day by the teamleader and approved by the judges
  • When there’s once’s doubts about the category of the participating dog, the dog will be ckecked by the judge.
    One of the judges has to take part in veterinary control and has to check up the measure, when there’s any doubt. His/her decision have to be used. Bitches in heat are allowed to compete when they are announced to the organisation of the event. They have to be separated from the other competing dogs and run last in the competiton of their category.
    They can take part on the training when they are wearing a special dog- trousers. When they are not they can train the end of the day with no sit still on the contact-obstacles and between the obstacles  and using the special carpet by the start.

IMCA Parts( runs)

Individual :

* 1 x agility course containing all contact obstacles,
* 1x jumping course without contact obstacles,
* maximum 15 dogs each team, maximum 7 one category
* winners total results of the last IMCA will be selected automatic and be added on the maximum of 15 dogs

 Team:

* 1 x agility course containing all contact obstacles,
* 1 x jumping course without contact obstacles,
* maximum 4 and minimum 3 dogs one team each category
* the three best results will be counted

  • One team from each country for category small, medium and large
  • A complete agility set obstacles will ( approved FCI ) contain:
    11 hurdles with poles ( 1 brush fence, 1 hurdle with full panel, 1 hurdle with gate also allowed), 1 tyre, 1 wall or viaduct, 1 dog walk, 1 A- frame, 1 see saw, set weaving poles ( total 12 ), 1 long jump, 2 tube tunnel, 1 flat tunnel and 1 table

Prizes

For competition IMCA the next prizes have to be available:
1st  ,2,3 Individual Agility small, medium and large
1st , 2,3 Individual Jumping small, medium and large
1st , 2,3 Individual Total Results small, medium and large
1st , 2,3 Team Agility small, medium and large ( for each competitor a prize)
1st , 2,3 Team Jumping small, medium and large ( for each competitor a prize)
1st , 2,3 Team Total Results small, medium and large (for each competitor a prize)
One cup for the Nation who have won the best Total Results IMCA & PAWC together.

Racing between countries

All competitors of the first six places by each course (IMCA and PAWC / individual and team) have got the following points for their county.

First place 12 points
Second place 9 points
Third place 6 points
Fourth place 3 points
Fifth place 2 points
Sixth place 1 point

At the end of event the points are counted, and the country with highest point is the “Best Country of IMCA & PAWC 200…”

Official flags of IMCA and PAWC

The flags are the official symbols of the event.
The flags have to place during the event where they can be seen well from everywhere.
The host country of the actual event has to put up the date and place of on them.
The last moment of the final ceremony the flags are given to the organising team of the next year.
The organisers have to take care for them.

Workbook

The organisers have to inscribe the results into the workbooks, if the participants ask for it.

Team leaders meeting

After the training the organisers hold a special meeting for all team leaders.
They give all information to them about the event, and special things they have to know.
They can collect the workbooks, and give the start numbers and all necessary information.
They introduce the judges, and they can tell any important information by themselves.
The organisers of the next event can inform the countries about the place and dates, and they could give information of hotels.

Gala diner

The organisers do their best to hold a friendly meeting for all participants.

Veterinary Control

Each participating dog, and other dogs of the competitors, will be submitted by a veterinary control the first day of the Event.
Required are the following:
* a valid European Passport or Veterinary Certificate
* indentification by chip or tattoo
* a valid vaccination against Rabies
( first time Rabies vaccination must be older than 21 days )
* a valid vaccination against: Parvo and Distemper
* minimum age of competing dogs: 18 months
* pregnant bitches or bitches with pups under 8 weeks old are not eligible for competing

A dog will be withdrawn from competition if:
* suffering from any infectious or contagious disease
* have any inhury which is likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing

All vaccinations must be registerd in the dogs European Passport or Veteninary Certificate
